Official YouTube Video Thread

Post by Matt on Mon Jun 22, 2009 1:42 pm

Here's a thread we can all post sick drumming videos from YouTube.

Videos of ourselves, videos of our friends, videos of the pros that we wish were our friends, etc etc.

Let's try to stick to drum videos though....

Here's a sick one of Jojo Mayer I just watched.

I'm about 60% through that video J, nice find, I quite enjoyed that.

EDIT: to keep with the videos coming...

Here's one of Thomas Pridgen at the Modern Drummer Festival in 08.

Great jungle/tribal groove there! Jon Karel is great but i can't stand #12 looks like you! Their music is a mess to me.

he's definitely got some chops, i don't really dig his style that much, but like i said, he's got some chops.

Steve Jordan & Bernie Worrell - From "The Groove is Here" I've seriously had this groove stuck in my head for the past two weeks.

Yeah that song's sick.
He opened up a clinic with that song when I saw him a couple months ago.

Questlove is back, laying down a sick funky jam.

Well, I watched this video more for the guitar playing, but Dennis Chambers holds it down. There some nice percussionists too, I think Raul Rekow and Karl Perazzo, but I could be wrong.

Santana and Clapton just own this stage.

Bill Stewart's rides are amazing! I love his cymbals (apart from his splashes, i hated those).
I prefer his playing with his quartet as opposed to his solo stuff! Great Player.

Here is benny greb. Speechless............

His kick sounds massive! Some sexy grooves in that video! The tribal-esque jungle beat thing at the start rocks!

Oh man, I'd love to try his cymbal selection. They sound utterly amazing. The bells/splashes/gongy things aren't too bad. They're so dirty and abrupt, but they'd only fit in soloing (IMO).
