I've got 10 and 12 rack, and 14 and 16 floor (which are really rack)

I don't really play the 16 too much. I think the 14 is all the low end I need.

Haha. Wow, man. A Saturn in that finish, in those exact sizes, was my dream kit for the longest time. We have quite similar tastes. But I'm pretty set on assembling my own kit, now.

18"x14", 10"x8", 14"x14", 6-ply Birch Shells, Natural finish, yadda yadda yadda.

well im trying to get the perfect sound right now. i had a small pillow in it for al little while with the head medium tensioned. i think medium tension is best, but with little muffling and a loose reso.

o and i converted my floor tom into a bass if you were wondering. i just bent the floor tom legs because i wasn't even using that kit for a while, and i really want a small jam/gig kit.

i was just thinking of adding a second kick to my set as it is already just for another affect drum.
kinda like a staton moore or dave weckle esc setup.

i was thinking about doing that with the legs but then i ran into the issue of how to raise back o the drum, or connect the bass pedal to it.

if you plan on using the tom again, then don't bend the legs. you could just get the pearl jungle kit system, but i just built a little thing out of wood and it works perfectly, ill get some pics in a little bit

I'd definitely go with the jungle kit if you want to use the drum as a floor tom again.

i would probably want to use the floor tom again, i never actually use it with the kit but still it would be good to have around just incase.

yeah and its a really cool sound, it may not be the most versatile, but if you like to play jazz and jazz funk and latin stuff like i do, then its just right.
