You should look into Legacy hats. I just have a feeling they'd go well with your kit.

Yeah, I'll try everything I can. Although I'd prefer to leave the big 3 for price reasons. As I said earlier, I'll be taking a trip to a Melbourne store who have the biggest cymbal collection in Australia. But I'm also going to Australia's Ultimate Drumming Weekend, and apparently everything shown is also on sale. Meaning if I find something there (everything should be there) I'll most definitely look into it. Who knows, I may come back with some new pies (although I don't have the funds for two really)

Definitely try out the Legacy ride there.

You don't have to buy it, just hear its smoky and smooth goodness and feel your heart melt.

Ha-ha, that actually makes me want a pair. Smoky, smooth and shimmering all give me beautiful ideas in my head. Especially smoky and shimmering.

I'd love an 18" bass, but I'm scared it wont be very versatile.

Do you guys know any rock drummers with 18" bassdrums?

I love playing jazzy stuff, but my band is mainly rock.

Are you sure that's an Agop Sig? It looks like a few other models as well. I can't quite tell.

I'm the exact same, I'd like an 18", but I'm not doing too much in the Jazz scene [if you want to call anything here a Jazz scene]. It would be a lovely addition, but I have no proper use for it in band settings. Hence why I may go with a 20", in my eyes it's sort of 'the best of both worlds'.

Dang thats a nice kit! You sure do know nice kits Ash!

I have used an 18" kick in rock situations, when its mic'd up you can make them sound huge! I will admit they obviuosly don't pack anywhere near as much power as my 22" for example but i was pleasantly surprised the last time used one! From the back of a big hall they where hard to pick out but if you moved a bit closer it was clear as day! And easier to transport ! Think about it.

Also maybe the kick just was loud for my playing as i tend to really thump out my kick drum beats! Like the wee jump/hop that Jeff does when he plays the snare, if i play a kick accent my whole body goes into it. I mostly play heel down though but for an accent the guys in scotland are gonna hear it.

I used to mic my kick for band practice... It really came in handy. I wish I still had that mic. I should buy a new Audix D6 or something.

I'd say that tom is a 12x9, but it could be 12x8....

You can still use a mic. Do you have to practice so loud?

I'm just gonna guess JJ's WMP would be 24x14, 13x9, 16x16, 18x16, give or take an inch or two on everything.

Steve's In Repair kit might have been 22x16, 13x9, 16x16, 18x16, but I really can't be sure. You can't really tell from the video.

Why do you wanna know? Just curious?
