Nice tama set...

I'd pull the EC2s and just throw some Clear Emperors on there.... But that's just me.

Fantastic cymbal selection on the Superstars, man. I love that dull, no-logo look. Now just get some coated heads...

What's the second set?

I like the nice tight set up of the Tama, and the other kit looks great too, simple but gets the job done!

how's the little kick sound? can you get a decent low end out of it?

it sounds really punchy, but I have almost found a way to get just enough low end out of it, but I'm still experimenting.

yeah, i'd imagine it would be fairly easy to get punchy but a little trickier to achieve a nice low end.

I can only imagine. I feel that way even with my 20" sometimes, then i just mess with the tuning (even more) and can eventually find a sound that i can live with.

I would think that a 20 could be fairly versatile considering you could tune it low to be like a 22 or high to be like an 18

yeah, i mean, it's easy to get a higher pitched sound, it's just i don't really like the boppy kick sound right now, so it gets a bit frustrating at times.

16" which i like the feel of the depth and will probably stick with a 16" depth whenever the glorious day comes that i get a new kit, but i'll probably get a 22x16 or MAYBE even a 24x16....

I'd say don't go any high than 22 just due to set up a feel, but if you want a really booming kick go for the 24

yeah, i'll probably stick with the 22" because like you said, the setup of a rack tom with a 24 could be trickier than with a 22, plus i feel like the 24 could be trickier to control.

but hey eventually if you really wanted to you could set up 24" auxiliary kick off to the left controlled by a slave pedal. thats what i did for a little while with the 16" kick
