bretkill's Pacific MXR
As some already know, I picked up this kit about two months ago off eBay and its in "like new" condition. I've always been fond of the Pacific MXR's because they are very close to my dream sizes and they're thin maple shelled. This is also my favorite finish within the series. These MXR's, along with the MX's, LX's and LXE's have been discontinued to make room for the Platinum series. The early Pacifics were plagued with quality control issues, so upon receiving the kit, I expected it closely and noticed no issues with the bearing edges, the shells or the hardware except for a slightly crooked floor tom leg mounting bracket nearest to me on the 14", which I'm more than happy to ignore for the steal I got this kit for. This kit is very warm, fat and full, much like its big brother DW. I currently have a 24" coated EMAD on its way in the mail and I'll be purchasing a 24" Fiberskyn PS3 as soon as possible. The drumheads currently on this kit are what came with it and they were in near new condition upon arriving, except for the DW resonant which had been moderately used.

Once again Bret, love it! I can't wait for that Fiberskyn to get in It'll look very classy then.

Thank you, man. I appericate it.
I don't know if all early Pacifics had stamps, but these do. Just like DW does.

Haha. And to think, that's one of my lesser goofy faced drum shots.

Nothing wrong with a little sex appeal.
Re: bretkill's Pacific MXR
haha. that's true, except when the amount of sex appeal is so out of proportion when compared to a standard amount, that it becomes a problem.
