I like this one. It's definitely a huge change, but this one is a lot better than the old one in my opinion.

just picked myself up my first dream ride cymbal today!

i went into the shop with the intention of picking up a 24" bliss paperthin. they had 3, all of which just sounded way too weak for me. the profiles were just too flat, and although this cymbal would be great if all i was playing was small combo jazz, i just need something a little more versatile. i played around on all the dream rides (my local shop luckily carries a whole bunch!), and i fell in love with a 22" contact series ride. it just sounded too good to leave in the shop, so i bought it. they tried to charge me $250, but i told them to look the cymbal up on virtualcymbals.com, and sure enough they price matched...$195! thats a stupid deal for what a quality cymbal this is.

ive played it for like a half hour, and its already my favorite cymbal. blends perfectly with my 20" hand hammered manhattan ride. i am very happy with this purchase.

Sounds like a good cymbal. I need to find a shop with more than the major 3 brands.

I wouldn't mind owning a Dream cymbal with my Paiste Traditionals, they are very nice.

Sure it's a big change, just get used to the bright theme. I changed from the dark to light theme on PDF a few weeks back now the dark theme just feels weird.

All whilst keeping a Metro kit in the back of my head.

and i wouldnt even pay 2 grand for it if it were new. at least the finish isnt all that bad, and the lugs are in-line.
