Thank you all.

Yeah, the ride sucks Mad

I can explain though, the dumbass ebay shipper sent it in the worst packaging you can imagine, such that both ends of the cymbal were exposed. It came with a small dent, which has now formed into a small crack. It's only about a quarter inch or so, but I'm starting to hear a difference in the sound, a subtle sizzle that's not very pleasant.

Maybe if you weren't such an idiot and didn't bash it all of the time, you'd actually have a nice ride.

Nice kit, buddy. <3.

Haha, yeah. I was pretty much making fun of myself with that post. No need to rub it in.

How's it doing, you ask? Well, I don't even want to tell you. Haha.

Not yet. I still want to find out what's going on with the new ride before I start cutting up the Dream. I haven't talked to my Mom about it in a while.

Ah, I see. Keep lurking around on ebay, and snap one up if you see it for a nice deal.

so its an edge crack? that sucks...

you should still drill at the end of the crack anyway, just so the cymbals still usable. you might think about throwing in some rivets, too. thats what i did when my k custom ride cracked. but mine cracked in a lathe groove, and i just put rivets in when i drilled both ends of the crack. its still one of my favorite cymbals even though its cracked!

anyway, the kit is nice! i really love coke bottle acrylic drums! have you thought about sending your bass drum in to precision drum co. and have them cut it down for you? its like $15 to do that i think.

it looks great man.
is there anything you can do about the ride, like write ebay and tell them the fool sent you damaged goods?

also what are you not a fan of the 22x20?

I never really thought about that, maybe i'll try it. I'd love a rivet ride.

And that is exactly what I was planning to do, I live about 2 hours from Precision too, so I might make a day trip there eventually. Thing is, it's only $15 to get it cut down, but the drilling will cost me an additional $70, I think.
And I don't like the 22x20 because it's a bit muddy for my taste. I'm planning on getting it cut to a 22x14 or 15 for some more punch, and I don't think i'll have to muffle it as much.

Thanks, everyone. Coke Bottle Green is definitely my favorite acrylic color as well, Charles.

I really need to take some new pictures with my new gear, i'll see if i can borrow my sister's camera later.

For my birthday I got a new eliminator single, and my rack tom is on a snare stand. And clear ambassador batters, not that that really matters. It's nothing big, but my setup has changed a bit, and I feel like new pictures are in order.

However, soon a new ride will be added to the setup Very Happy

wait, you're putting your rack tom on a snare stand, god, we need to stop copying JJ's set-up, it's not going to get us the gig with John Mayer.
