haha, Yeah, I know. It's fun to experiment with hi hat pairing, that's how I got my 'hats.

I would've gotten a sparkle finish if they had one, but I'm hands down for satin finish or two tone Rolling Eyes I'll have to look around, what would you suggest for fb stands? and I've got vintage emp's on them over the stock heads. sounds really punchy and a killer sustain. Very Happy

Yea the 805's are nice but i like my finish better Wink ! Soundwise the 805 was very similar/almost identical to mine (both have the birch shells) so it was a matter of personal prefernce, i liked the small sizes of the FX better than the "bulky" 805, and some of the 805'S look like plastic toys IMO.

Its funny how you shelled out all that money for a 7 piece kit and are currently using a three piece! All those drums going to waste ......

Yup. I wouldn't let anything go to waste for too long. I mean, even if I'm using a 3 piece and loving it.. there's always another setup on my way.. already trying to work one around thr 3 piece, might do something like jojo mayer but a little closer..

What sizes did you get with your 7 piece ? 22" 14" 8" 10" 12" 14" 16" ? You could do a steve jordan type thing and have a wee kit to the left of your kit, you'd need and other snare and hats and pedal but that would be cool.

You should try and get an SJ esque set up going on! Might be cool, 22"Kick 14" snare 10" tom and 14" toms as main kit, then 16" minikick 8" tom and 12" tom as left side kit! That would be frickin sweet!

You could always bend your current floor tom legs like sjman did for his mini kit. He has pics up here somewhere.

O.o .. I may.. but IDK about that. I mean I've got enough.. and I'll never use 2 floor toms at the same time.. i think..
