I love it.

I wouldn't really know what to say. It's fairly high up... but I'll have to take a picture for you. I'll try to get one today.

Sam. I love you. Sorry, the kit. It's me (61'Original. from the blasted PDF). I'm getting 17" hats at the end of the month. Pretty similar to yours actually ... Dream Contact on bottom and Dream Bliss on top.

Maybe not directly. But honestly the way the PDF is run now is just horrible... too off-topic is just unfair. The JJ thread was honestly one of the reasons I kept logging onto the forum.. I may not have participated much but it was a great thread. One of the most liveliest(?) on the forum.

Re: Sam's Refinished EX.
I haven't logged on so much recently.. lot of "good" on the forum is gone and it just isn't as what it was. Thought I'd give this a try when Jeff had mentioned it to me. I recognize alot of you and it feels better to be here then there haha. Smaller and "closer to home" here.

Re: Sam's Refinished EX.
I just want to get back to 10,000. I'd completely slowed down on that forum, really just helping out people through cymbal and general forums. But then I lost 1,000 posts, and me being a post whore, I felt the need to return.

I'm still going fairly slow, I post more here than there. But yeah, when I hit the 10K mark I will have no obligation to post much.

Re: Sam's Refinished EX.
Haha. I wouldn't know what that feels like.. I've only ever gotten closest to 900 But it's like when you hit 10k, you become just one of those people of the forum that have been through it all.. hard to explain but maybe you get it anyway, off to work - be back at around 1 am haha -5 time. That's what you get for milking cows.

Ha-ha, yeah. I get what you mean. But it's weird, most of the members with 10K + don't even post anymore, and rarely do so when they do.

Dude, Sam, you should get the same hi-hats as I do, because it seems to have the sound you are looking for. I'll get you a really good deal on them, too probably about 380 bucks, or so.

Re: Sam's Refinished EX.
Thanks for the tips, man, but I already found my new hihats. I'm rocking a 16" K Dark Crash over a 16" Paiste Twenty Crash. I took my K Dark into GC and tried it with a few different bottoms. When I put the Twenty underneath, I had to have it. It sounds that good.SKC wrote:Dude, Sam, you should get the same hi-hats as I do, because it seems to have the sound you are looking for. How much did the twenty set you back? I've never tried a twenty in person, I haven't seen them around.

Re: Sam's Refinished EX.
It's not like me to buy new cymbals, especially at Guitar Center's prices, but my Mom was offering it to me as a birthday gift, so I couldn't refuse. It costed 2 crispies.
They're impressive cymbals. I don't care for the 16" Crash on it's own, but the Twenty Series is up there as far as my standards go.

Really? That's a fantastic price, better than 8 crispies.

Re: Sam's Refinished EX.
Haha. Over here, it's not really a great price. It's just a 'new' price... nothing special. Hell, I bought my Legacy ride for $157. That was a pretty nice price.

Oh, you poor thing
I must take a trip to the US and take about, hmm, $1,000 USD. I could return with like 4 pies
