I'm not quite sure, but I thought with Doyle, he used a 17" A Custom over Z Custom, or 16" K Lights.

And yes, he does have one of my favorite cymbal setups ever.

He had this red ayotte kit that is my favourite kit EVER!

Also i know JJ has like 6,786,495 snare drums but he has this one in particualr that he switches on alot! Its 12" by 7" (i think)and its great, i love its look and sound! I can't remember what song he uses it on but i just remember thinking "Day-um dat snare is P.I.M.P. like a lethal weapon"

i'm pretty sure he does, i want to say that he uses it as a side snare 100% of the time with JM, at least i think he did both times i've seen him.

that is, if i remember correctly.

A guitarist in my band, his brother has an ayotte kit! He lives in canada now, he also has a snare built for him by an ex kit builder from DW! His drums are incredible! Ill try and get some pics! He is a big jazz player!

But back to JJ, or this thread will run its course!

man I loved JJ's ayotte kit. shame they 'went under'. I wonder what his kit would be like if he was still with them.

Yea, that would be really classy. Or you could go for the craviotto style drums like this:

As much as I love Craviotto, I don't really care for the visual appearance of the two tone drums like that, if it were a stripe, visually, i'd like it better...

Like if the orange was brown on the snare?

well, the snare is a little bit better, but i'd rather it be where the top and very bottom stripe are the same and the one in the middle is different, but that's just visually speaking....

so, yeah, exactly like if the orange on the snare was the brown that the bottom is.
